Dear Friends,

For the first time since 2004 we are not preparing for a GEN 1 camp program. We’ve decided not to offer GEN 1 this year.

Even as our enrollments have increased and camper enthusiasm expands, the practical challenges of rolling out such an extensive one-week program year after year has caused is to put our future on hold, catch our breath and spend time listening to the Lord about the future.

Please pray with us regarding the future. We believe more than ever that kids need to hear and live the GEN 1 message: every child is creative, every child has a story, and every story is part of God’s story. Please continue to encourage your child with these messages.

Lastly please consider these great opportunities to help your child’s heart stay alive with creativity:

The Ambrose Collective – Under the direction of our friend, Adam Weiler, Ambrose is something of a “GEN 1 for high school kids”. Students gather weekly to develop their creative skills, share stories, and use creative projects to impact our community for good. Ambrose meets every Thursday night from 4-7pm at the Holland Area Arts Council. No charge.

Camp Geneva “Out of the Box” - From July 27-31 (for 3rd-6th grades), this overnight camp will continue to offer a creative twist on a great camp environment (including the return of “Ginormous Jim)!

Thank you again for joining our vision and our family. We will stay in touch – please do the same.

Blessings,
Scott and Lisa Courey
